Larry invests in scientists and engineers who invent disruptive technologies. Recent examples include wireless power technology, self-healing coatings, tankless water and air heating technology, and microneedle drug delivery systems. Our reward is seeing these technologies commercialized and the environmental and health benefits that may follow.
Partner and co-founder of Independence Equity an early-stage venture capital fund, which has an “efficient resource use” theme. Our role is to provide capital and mentoring. He volunteers as co-founder of an angel network called Cornerstone Angels, which invests in a broad array of start-ups. Since 2003, provided managerial and start-up resources through VentureLab, an advisory firm/incubator.
Previously, he led a start-up acquired by an investment bank and worked in the small business advisory group at Arthur Andersen. His volunteer activities include executive-in-residence for Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center and board member of the EcoMyths alliance.
